Kangaroo Island Attractions

Kangaroo Island Attractions –

Kangaroo Island  has so many interesting places to visit. This is just a small sample featuring a few of the many Kangaroo Island attractions.

Different times of the year mean that there are different things to see.

On one visit you may see many kangaroo & koala, then on another visit see a few of the local goanna crossing the road, if you are lucky you may even see an echidna or two crossing the road.
That’s part of the charm of the island, you never really know what extra thing you may sight on your journey around the Island. The time of the year also means things change with the seasons.

One thing is certain there is plenty to see and we recommend you come over for at least 3 days and nights if you can manage it.

Flinders Chase Farm accommodation is ideal for your adventure on Kangaroo Island, as it is located only 10km from Flinders Chase National Park, and is also not far from many of Kangaroo Islands other popular attractions like Kelly Hill Caves, Little Sahara, Seal Bay, and Cape Border Lighthouse.

Some other ideas for a top day out could include a trip along the North Coast of KI taking in Western River Cove, Snellings Beach, then onto the interesting rock pool at Stokes Bay. This is on dirt roads so watch your speed, however the views of Kangaroo Islands coast & beaches is well worth it.

Raptor Domain, Kangaroo Island Birds of Prey – Raptor Domain at the Seal Bay turn off is a must do on Kangaroo Island. Don’t miss their educational and interactive Birds of prey, Reptiles and Venomous critter daily presentations. There is a great photo opportunity here.

Located along a dirt road is Andermel Marron Cafe featuring Two Wheeler Creek Wines and fresh KI Marron, this could make for an interesting lunch stop.

You will enjoy a visit to The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can view local Kangaroo lsland wildlife up close. The nearby town of Parndana has fuel, a bakery, post office, hotel and small supermarket, as well as The Soldier Settlement Museum.
